Hi everyone!

Thanks to those of you who have responded to our blogs! We really appreciate any acknowledgement -- lets us know folks are reading & living this trip along with us.

The trip last week to Logba Tota (Wed-Fri) was so wonderful, I am still processing my thoughts about that amazing place. I'm skipping over those days so I can tell you about Saturday. I'll come back to those days in a later post.
* * * * *

Saturday was really a "rest day." Little Anita's graduation from school was postponed, so we didnt get to see that. We spent most of the day resting, catching up with emails, and so forth. Of course about 2 hours of that was enough for David; he developed a raging case of "Cabin Fever"! We have been somewhat limited b/c we have no personal cell phone that we can use to call a taxi and go somewhere. Dave was pacing the floor and bouncing off the walls some, but I was grateful for the rest!

We spent a little time playing with Lexi & Kelsey. We'd brought some bubbles and we had such FUN letting them float all over the room for the girls to try to catch! Davd would put the bubble wand in front of the big oscillating fan in the living room, and soon it was completely filled with lots of glistening, colorful bubbles floating around in the air!

About mid-afternoon, Richie & the kids came over and we took a small tour of a couple of other parts of Tema. We drove around the port, and through New Town. Dave requested the drive through New Town because I mentioned it in my book, Two Watches. He experienced first-hand the smell/aftertaste of New Town -- lots of fish, smoke, sweat, sea smells mixed together. Then we drove to the beach! The water was really choppy so swimming was not possible, but we did get to wade in the water! Little Anita ran & played in the surf with David -- but Christabel was a bit reluctant. We got our feet wet, but she didnt want any other part in that. And Junior -- well, he refused to leave his daddy's arms! We'd brought the bubbles along, and had a good time playing with the bubbles with the girls, watching them chase them down the sandy beach. I tried to look for shells, but there really were none. Maybe it was high tide? Anyway, sorry, Davi T., I couldnt really find many shells for you~

It began to get dark, so we hopped back in the car & headed for SFC. SFC is a big restaurant beside the roundabout in Tema. They have wonderful ice cream! We got cups of chocolate/vanilla/strawberry, and sat outside in a small cabana to enjoy the cool sweetness!

Before leaving, we purchased enough ice cream for Rev. James & Mary & girls, and for Victoria too.

It was a fun day, and a much needed time to relax!

Sunday was great in a different way. I'll blog about that experience next time!

Thanks for reading, please share this with anyone you think might enjoy reading along. And I hope you're also reading David's blog!

Love & blessings to all,

Anita <><

Hey Anita,

Even if you couldn't find any shells, I love knowing you thought about me for that time, and enjoyed the beach time with Dave, Ritchie, and the kids.

Love and blessings to you, Dave, RJ, Ritchie, their families, and everyone you've been with in Ghana,

Davi
